WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
For three consecutive years David Cassak, Steve Levin (Innovation In MedTech) and LSAN have hosted an annual conference in NYC focused on topics "du jour" for medical technology.
This year our Fourth Annual MedTech Conference is focused on the success dilemma for the entrepreneur, investor and a corporate acquirer.
Drawing on lessons learned from seasoned executives, we explore in a series of plenary sessions:

  • Why is it that some companies wind up rewarding investors, but not their corporate acquirers?
  • Why others prove to be winners for their acquirers but disappoint investors?
  • Why some deals go well and others not?
  • Who wins and who loses?
  • What are the potential ramifications for physicians and patients?

At a time when the medical device sector is under tremendous funding pressures, creating companies that prove to be successes for both investors and acquirers has never been more critical.  This program will look at successful – and not so successful – companies from a variety of perspectives, looking for strategies that help build and bring new technologies to the market.

PROGRAM FEATURES:

  • Case Studies that focus on specific scenarios for investor and corporate acquirer
  • Interactive Panels that bring together a variety of perspectives on critical issues for early stage companies such as, physician engagement and formation of Scientific Advisory Board to challenges facing industry on clinical trial design and execution, and finally on the exit strategy.
